Academic Progam
The Academic Program of St. Benedict School is based on the desire to best meet the needs of each student. Religion is an important element of our school curriculum and is therefore included daily in our program. It consists of not only the instruction of our faith, but also involvement in the Liturgy, paraliturgical celebrations, and sacramental preparation. It is our strong feeling that religion is not merely an additional subject to be taught in our school. It is our hope that what is learned will affect our day to day experiences with one another.

Sacramental Preparation
The Religious Education Office and the school work together to prepare parents and their children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. Preparation for reception of the sacrament of Reconciliation is in grade 2. Since parents are the primary educators of their children, preparation is at home with the help of parent meetings. The religion curriculum for grade 2 also focuses on preparation for the sacrament of Reconciliation. Preparation for reception of the sacrament of Eucharist is in grade 3. Again, parents have the primary responsibility of preparing their children with home instruction and sharing. Parents have the help of parent meetings. The religion curriculum in grade 3 focuses on Eucharist.
