Grades 1-8 Transfer Students
We are a parish school that is subsidized by St. Benedict Parish. St. Benedict School does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, national and ethnic origin, age (in accordance with the law), and physical or learning disability (if, with reasonable effort on the part of the school, the disabled person could be accommodated). Our primary concern in the admission procedure is that St. Benedict School is able to meet the needs of the currently enrolled students. Students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) designed for special education support are closely reviewed before acceptance into St. Benedict School.
Transfer Students
All students considering transfer to St. Ben’s must first complete the transfer process. This process involves:
- Private Tour or attendance of our Open House
- Shadow/Screening Day: All students must bring their most recent report card and their 504 or IEP, if applicable, on this day
- Student’s Records, Teacher feedback from the shadow day, and screening results will all be considered before acceptance.
Waitlists
All students must complete the Transfer Student process before being placed on a waitlist. This will be handled as a first come, first serve process with priority being given to siblings of current students.
